From Block Party co-chair Mike Callahan:

On behalf of co-chair Joel Moyer and myself, I’d like thank everyone who attended the 2019 Block Party.

Joel and I would also like to thank the committee members who helped to plan and pull it all together. Thank you to John and Mary Carol Lucic, Bob Lewis, Michael Ball, and to Shannon and Katie. Although Shannon and Katie couldn’t make it, their contributions of games and crafts were significant! Thanks also to Shirley Hutner and Jim Ptacek for lending a hand with setup.

We are eager for input to make next year even better. We’d love to have as many residents attend and be involved as possible. If you have any feedback at all, please reach out to me or to Joel via the contact page.

A few suggestions/ideas received so far:

• Earlier date selection
• Give residents some date options
• Ask for RSVPs ahead of time
• Perhaps a menu change
• More organization to games (ie corn hole tournament)

Thanks again to everyone who joined in the day and/or shared a dish. Thanks also to all of you for making Elbur Avenue such a welcoming and friendly place to live! Don’t hesitate to reach out with any thoughts.
